The Technology transfer

Most of the technology transfer was very limited for the definitive people; in way that no one can all the people have this advantage. Moreover, technology in the past years was something very particular and not commercialized as today’s world. However, it took 70 years; Yissum has changed and modified with success of these dogmas. Yissum, the University Technology Transfer of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Isreal aims to protect, promote and market commercially promising inventions for that University in benefit for the society, at the same time to manage, deliver, and optimize the knowledge transfer to the global market through the variety of business developmental activities and services, maximize the returns of support to the inquiry, the education, the scientific excellence etc…

Yissum that is also known as the Center for Nanoscience and Nanotechnolog had been established in 1964 for the Hebrew University of Jerusalem to protect the rights and copyright of the Hebrew University and involved in the commercialization of them. US $ 1 billion as annual sales is being generated by products developed in the Hebrew University permitted by Yissum. Yissum has 4 campuses, a research budget of $77 million, about 3,800 research projects on hand, and approximately 1,400 senior faculties and registered 5500 patents that enclose 1600 inventions; permitted out 480 technologies and charge account out 65 companies. In the past 40 years, Yissum has been granted more than 400 technology licenses and commercialized an array of successful products that generated nearly $1 billion worldwide every year. Moreover, since 1964, Yissum is one of the first worldwide companies of Technology Transfer Services that surpassed only the Weizmann Institute of the Yeda, which was established in 1959.
